Privacy

The short version

We collect your email address and the list of things you want to hear about. We use them to send you one email a day. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise to you, and we do not run any analytics or tracking scripts on this site.

You can get everything we hold about you deleted by emailing [email protected]. We will action it within 30 days.

What we collect, and why

Your email address

To send you the daily briefing you asked for, and to sign you in. Sign-in uses a one-time link rather than a password, so we never store a password for you.

The people, companies and topics you track

This is the product. We search podcast transcripts for these terms to build your briefing.

Your optional notes on why you track something

You can add a short note (“why I care”) to any tracked item. We pass it to the AI model that writes your briefing so the summary is relevant to you. You can leave it blank.

Optional preferences about you

If you tell us your role, goals, or preferred tone and depth, we use it to shape the writing. All optional.

Basic technical data

Your IP address is used transiently to rate-limit abuse of our signup and search endpoints. We store a counter against it, not a history of your browsing.

Cookies

We use one cookie, and only once you sign in: it keeps you signed in. That is it. We run no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, on this site or in the app, which is why you are not seeing a cookie banner.

Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the signup form to block bots. It is designed to work without tracking you across sites.

Automated processing

Your briefing is written by an AI model (Google Gemini) from podcast transcripts, using your tracked terms and any notes you added. It is a summarisation tool: it does not make any decision about you, and there is no profiling that produces a legal or similarly significant effect. A human does not review each briefing before it is sent to you.

Who else processes your data

We use these providers to run the service. They process data on our instructions.

How long we keep things

We keep your account and tracked topics for as long as your scoop is active. Past briefings stay available on your page so you can look back at them.

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your email address, your tracked topics and your briefings. Ask and it is done — you do not need to give a reason.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, and take it elsewhere. Exercise any of them by emailing [email protected] — one email is enough, and there is no charge.

If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or your local supervisory authority.

Every briefing has a one-click pause link in the footer that works without signing in. You can also pause or delete your scoop from your account page.
